How big is Cat Covey?

60 inches by 50 inches — a standard throw. The pouch at the foot end runs roughly 18 inches wide in production, deep enough for two average cats or one large cat plus your feet.

Micro Mink fleece on the outside at 280–320 GSM, with a Sherpa fleece pouch lining at 200–250 GSM and a thermal layer between for the foot well. Machine washable.

Will my cat actually use it?

Cats prefer enclosed, covered resting places — a box, a bag, a cave bed. The pouch has a deep gusset and a semi-rigid entry seam so it holds its shape instead of collapsing flat, which is what makes it read as a cave rather than a fold of fabric.

Just 33.9 miles east of Los Angeles, Ontario is a community of about 167,500 people where the evening routine tends to involve a cat, a sofa, and the warmest spot in the house. Cat Covey is built for exactly that: a throw with a cave sewn in, where the cat already wants to be.

How cold Ontario actually gets

Between October and April, Ontario averages an overnight low of 49.8°F and drops to 38.9°F at its coldest. That is 48 days — roughly 1.6 months — below 45°F. A cat's thermoneutral zone starts around 86°F, well above the 64–72°F most people keep a house at, so for a good part of the year a Ontario cat is mildly cold indoors even when you are comfortable. That is why it finds your feet, the laptop, the radiator and the sunbeam, in that order.
