Black Friday Gifts for Cat Lovers, 2026 — Coachella, CA

A cat nested in the stay-open cave at the foot of a Cat Covey throw — a Christmas gift for cat owners in Coachella, CA

In Coachella, CA — 43,092 people, 2 days a year below 45°F — the cat has already worked out that the warmest thing in the house is whoever sat down last. That is who you are buying for.

Why it lands here specifically

Coachella has a population of about 43,092. and sits 87.7 miles northeast of San Diego, CA. Between October and April it averages an overnight low of 59.6°F, bottoming out at 41°F, with 2 days below 45°F — roughly 0.1 months of the year when a cat indoors is actively looking for a heat source.

A cat’s thermoneutral zone — where it is neither working to warm up nor cool down — runs roughly 86–97°F. A person’s is 64–72°F. Domestic cats descend from the African wildcat, a desert animal, so in a room you find pleasant your cat is mildly cold. On a stationary human, feet are the warmest accessible real estate.

Questions

Does Cat Covey ship to Coachella, CA?
Yes — Cat Covey ships anywhere in the United States, including Coachella, CA. Free shipping on orders over $79.
How big is Cat Covey?
60 inches by 50 inches — a standard throw. The pouch at the foot end runs roughly 18 inches wide in production, deep enough for two average cats or one large cat plus your feet.
What is it made of?
Micro Mink fleece on the outside at 280–320 GSM, with a Sherpa fleece pouch lining at 200–250 GSM and a thermal layer between for the foot well. Machine washable.
Will my cat actually use it?
Cats prefer enclosed, covered resting places — a box, a bag, a cave bed. The pouch has a deep gusset and a semi-rigid entry seam so it holds its shape instead of collapsing flat, which is what makes it read as a cave rather than a fold of fabric.
